HPE Expands Aruba Networking Central with AI-Powered Automation and Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities

By

Most, if not all, of us are familiar with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, or HPE. They are a global edge-to-cloud company that helps organizations accelerate outcomes by unlocking value from all of their data, everywhere.

One of its key areas of focus is networking, and HPE Aruba Networking Central is a central component of its networking portfolio.

HPE Aruba Networking Central is a cloud-based network management platform that uses AI to automate and optimize network operations. The platform improves network performance, enhances security, optimizes resource allocation and simplifies network management.

Earlier this year, HPE Aruba Networking integrated several generative AI large language models to enhance AIOps functionalities. They've also introduced new AI-driven security features to counter IoT security threats. Additionally, they launched behavioral analytics-based network detection and response capabilities to strengthen network security.

Most recently, HPE enhanced the network management platform with new AI-powered features.

The platform now integrates OpsRamp to monitor third-party network devices to offer broader network visibility. It also features an improved device configuration engine, expanded network observability and AI-driven optimizations.

OpsRamp increases HPE Aruba Networking Central’s contextual network observability by adding insights from network devices such as wireless access points, switches, firewalls, and routers across a range of vendors. This new option helps reduce heterogeneous network blind spots and accelerates common health monitoring and troubleshooting tasks.

HPE Aruba Networking Central's DEM capabilities have also been expanded with the integration of HPE Aruba Networking UXI monitoring to provide a unified view of user experience and SLA adherence.

Additionally, the platform now offers a common configuration model, hierarchical configurations, and new APIs for streamlined network management.

“HPE Aruba Networking Central is advancing AI Networking with new next-generation capabilities, built to enhance network automation with AI-powered insights,” said David Hughes, Chief Product Officer, HPE Aruba Networking. “We are expanding our AI-powered insights for networking and security to cover products from a wide range of industry vendors, offering customers a huge advantage in their ability to control, predict, and manage their network.”

HPE Aruba Networking Central is a cloud-scale network management solution sold as a SaaS and also included as part of an HPE GreenLake for Networking (NaaS) subscription available through the HPE GreenLake platform.

The latest set of AI Networking capabilities will be available in public preview starting October 2024. Third-party monitoring, UXI integration and select device configuration capabilities will be added to the public preview prior to year-end 2024.
